Love public transport!
We do most of our back packing by public transport. If you are planning some backpacking around Europe, most of the information you will need is already available via the internet, including timetables and often the possibility to make online reservations. There are hundreds of links that I could include here, but I am limiting myself to accommodation, train, coach and bus links and one general tourist information link.
